Best CC movie I've ever seen... literally.

The quality of this submission is way over average, but sadly, it does not have the rating it deserves because so many voters hate the CC.

Graphics/Animation - Perfect. The way the clocks were always moving so smoothly, the way their faces reacted to their emotions, and just about all animation in this movie looks perfect. The REAL cartoonish look and effect this movie had made me feel like I wasn't actually watching a CC movie on a website, I felt like it was on TV. The drawings and shading were also dead - on, and the bonus feature clocks walking around on the street were also a neat idea. It made the movie look more realistic.

Style/Originality - Pretty good. There are always CC movies submitted, so I didn't vote 10, but the interesting style you kept throughout the movie actually made it seem very original and clean. The plot was simple, funny, and clean. The way the whole story unwrapped was good. I didn't have to pay much attention while watching, because of how simple the idea was. Keep it up, man!

Sound - The music was edited nice and easy, the speakonia voices and knott's voices were also very clear, and the volume for everything was perfect. Good, high quality music was also used, and that made the experience of watching this piece more lively.

Violence - There wasn't much violence, but violence doesn't neccesarily make a movie good. I saw that a few people were hit by a car, and K10 got the shit beaten right out of him.

Interactiviy - The preloader was very nice, as you could see somewhat of a screenshot from the film while the bar was loading. The extras were cool, and the scene selection was also very easy to use, simple, and most importantly, beautiful. (U CANNOT KILL THE CLOK CRUE)

Humor - Brilliant. "Woo woo woo woo woo woo woo woo!"

Overall - 9
Like I said, best CC movie ever made.

Very simple idea, yet it's so entertaining.

This movie is by far one of the most entertaining stick figure movies I've seen. Most stick movies are just two guys fighting for 5 minutes, using the same moves OVER and OVER again, but this movie is different, and it has a great idea.

Graphics/Animation - The sticks were moving very smoothly, and the parts of the flash program moving out of place was cool. I never knew all of the flash tools could be used so violently like that :P

Style/Originality - I think I remember seeing something like this before, but the way the tools were used just MUST be your idea.

Sound - The sound effects were very high in quality, and they suited what was going on very good. I still gave you a 10, even though there wasn't music. Music would have made the movie a bit worse in my opinion, and sound effects are all this piece needs.

Violence/Gore - There wasn't any gore (that's a first. thank you) in this, but there was a reasonable amount of violence. The stick figure and the animator did take a beating, and the ending was very thoughtful, and it left the stick figures losing the battle, without actually killing them.

Interactivity - Play and replay. That's all a simple movie needs in my opinion.

Humor - The neat ideas and the stick figures getting beaten up by the animator make me laugh, but this movie was more entertaining than funny.

Overall - 8
Keep making simple, awesome ideas like this for stick movies and you'll be in my favourites in no time.

You're right.

Lots of movies submitted to Newgrounds or other sites are un - original. They barely thought of anything themseleves, and the movies often end up becoming WAY over - rated. The appearance of Video Game characters in this movie also makes it a bit unoriginal, but most of it was YOUR idea.

Graphics/Animation - The lip syncing was way above average, as I saw that the mouths were moving very smoothly. The nice brush-styled drawings were also very smooth. The Video Game stars were also drawn extremely well.

Style/Originality - The channels that the triangle guy was flipping through were funny ideas, and the frogs performing that ShowBiz song were also cool ideas. If there was no video game characters in this (there goes most of the jokes and ideas for the movie, as you were making fun of video game animators) then this would get a 10 for style.

Sound - The voices for the vg stars were dead on, and the quality was unquestionable. I also like the neat idea you had for the mario brothers' voices. They didn't say "ia" after every word, and the voices looked like they suited them better than their real voices. The background music for the desk conversation was also neat.

Violence/Gore - I don't think there was any in this movie, but that doesn't matter.

Interactivity - The main menu at the beggining made my watching of this movie allot better, as I can get a quick link to your site and I can get to the frogs quicker. The easter egg you put in the LegendaryFrog part was very, very funny. The egg also proves a good point on how LF makes unoriginal movies and how they get so over rated.

Humor - "I MUST FIND THE SACRED STONE!" You're also SO right about anime characters having ridicoulousy large, spikey hair.

Overall - 9
Never stop making this stuff. Every movie you make makes me laugh. HARD.

rtil responds:

I wasn't sure how to communicate to an online audience that I was parodying authors who use video game characters without starring the vg characters unless I was going to go on some rant, which bores people. Also I figured a good half of my audience aren't the brightest of people, and that was also true.
So there wasn't much freedom in that department. But I'm glad you got the message. Thanks.

Congrats, you made it above the 4.24 mark.

I, along with many other NG users have been awaiting this Flash very much, and I am pleased that you released it in a rather short time.

Graphics - The drawings were very good, and the FBF animation was better than all of your other Blockhead flashes, and that includes Time Squad.

Style - Blockhead is yours, and in my opinion, he is a very original character.

Sound - There wasn't much music, and the voices were top-notch quality. For that I give you my 8.

Violence - The evil duck deserved it.

Interactivity - There was a Preloader and a play button, along with a link to your site and a replay button.

Humor - "Hissssss!"

Overall - 9
I hope this gets submitted to the Blockhead collection as soon as possible.

The-Swain responds:

Haha, and a mere few seconds after your review, it did get submitted to the collection. Good call.

This was certainly my most lax cartoon to date. The creation process took the same number of days as eposides 4-6, and yet I didn't have to pull a single all-nighter. Perhaps slaving over Time Squad taught me something? I hope it paid off.

And thanks for the play-by-play. Compliments are always awesome, but reviews like these are the ones I really enjoy reading. I don't always know which facets of my cartoons are most appreciated by viewers, so it's great to sometimes be reminded.

Thanks!

This collab owns.

This was ubelievable when I watched it yesterday, but when I watched it today it wasn't as great. This is still an awesome collab, and it kicks so many asses.

Graphics - Some of the clips deserved an absolute 10, but others weren't quite as "anime" as the absolute 10 ones. Overall, all of the clips get at least an 8 from me.
Style - Collabs are always Styled, and actual Anime submissions are beyond "styled" in style.
Sound - Dream Theater = WIN
Violence - So many clips had violence.
Interactivity - Menu, Scene Selection, Artist Profiles, and Play.
Humor - The awesomeness (???) of some clip's graphics made me laugh, because they were so "anime."

Overall - 10
I rarely give out tens (except for my earlier crap reviews), but this one has got my 10. Also, the Hellsing guy was creepy. You know, the guy in the red clothes, the nice hat and the gun.

Spectacular.

This film has smoother animation and more beautiful drawings than any other movie on newgrounds, except for maybe your other brackenwood films.

Graphics - Too good to be true. The FBF YuYu cloud was what made me say, "OMFG RLY FBF AMINATION!!!!"
Style - Brackenwood is your thing. You made up all of the characters and plots, and the cool music goes straight with the movie.
Sound - I've never heard of that artist, but that was some cool music you had there. It reminded me of pirates :P
Violence - YuYu's pwn3d by Bitey's hooved foot of DEATH!
Interactivity - Quality Settings, Play, Replay, and I think another button or two.
Humor - Bitey was hopping away from the cloud so fast I laughed, and I also laughed when he stomped the little imps.

Overall - 10
I never vote 10 for overall on movies ANYMORE, but this movie really earned it.

A perfect way of ending a very popular series.

This was one of the funniest flashes I have ever seen, and the material that was in this movie made me wish that there would be an episode 4.

Graphics - Very nicely and neatly drawn stuff. The animation was very smooth, and this movie makes lots of stuff in the top 50 look like SHIT.
Style - Loaded with Style, I can't explain why.
Violence - A bunch of robots take a beating and the scientist turns into non-existence. (???)
Interactivity - More interactivity than an average blockbuster flash here. Play, replay, and Scene 1, 2, and 3 select.
Humor - "I don't want to not make sense! All I want to do is for you to SIGN. MY. VELOCIRAPTOR!"

Overall - 9
I wish I could rate 10 for overall, but it is impossible for a movie to be perfect.
