review mods dont like honesty so they delete half of all reviews before anyone sees them

they should really make the review rules less harsh because how can they expect a userbase that's mostly 11-14 year olds to follow them all the time.

because the bigger an entertainment site's userbase grows the less attention each individual video is going to get

Fact is (and this is from a statwhore's perspective), it's hard to leave a good review, easy to leave a bad one while trying to leave a good one, and easiest of all to not review at all. Review mods are both efficient and inefficient: efficient, in that they'll delete and ban anything under 7 with "sucks" or "crap" in it for Egofaggot or Halfwit-Assworm, or anything with even the slightest hint of three well-known friends leaving more than two reviews for a movie, but inefficient in that they don't get rid of shit fanboy reviews of 10 saying some variation of "Z0MG EGORAPTOR I LUV U LET ME SUK UR DICK BCUZ U R A GOD ANIMATOR 4 SPITING OUT RANDUM JOKZ N VIDEO GAME OBSURVASHUNZ!!!", or really abusive reviews for anything off the Most Recent 50 that is neither frontpaged nor featured in a collection. You have to suck the author's dick, or you get banned, unless the Flash and the author disappear never to be seen again.

I've had an account for a while but only recently started really paying attention to the site and I spent a good couple of weeks in the flash portal giving what reviews I could (well, besides ignoring the gigantic amounts of spam that go through) despite the fact that I'm not a flash animator. My online community of choice for years has been deviantart and despite it getting a bunch of flack for being composed of nothing but furries and poorly drawn anime girls I did manage to find my niche amongst a group of writers who weren't absolute douchebags and honestly, while your complaints about getting reviews on a piece of work comes in a different package it's similar to the problem any large forum will have where people come together to share their work. Granted, that doesn't mean something shouldn't be done, but I find the best work is done by the little people rather than the staff but since I'm new to NG I'm unaquainted with the dramaz that go with everything.
But I've rambled too long on a peanut butter addled brain.
